Founded in 1888, Shrewsbury Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest amateur orchestras in the country. 70 playing members rehearse weekly and perform three concerts each year.

A friendly, non-auditioned choir in Shrewsbury, Cantata gives regular concerts with a varied repertoire, including major choral works.

An un-auditioned choir of around 100 singers, formed over 40 years ago. We give at least four concerts each year, including Handel's Messiah each December in Shrewsbury Abbey to raise money for local and national good causes.

A weekly series of lunchtime concerts, every Friday at 12.30pm, followed by a light lunch. Regular Sunday choral evensong, and occasional evening recitals.

Shrewsbury Abbey regularly hosts a wide range of recitals and concerts, ranging from poetry to pop, from jazz to oratorio, organ recitals and choral music. The lunchtime series 'Saturdays at Noon' showcases a mixture of local and national talent.
