We are always looking for experienced choral singers to join the choir.  All voices are welcome, but at present especially sopranos and basses.  The choir's repertoire is eclectic and challenging, so you need to be able to read music reasonably fluently, and either be able to sight-read or be willing to learn the music between rehearsals. For each concert we usually have about ten rehearsals with a final one on the day of the concert, and we expect members to commit to attending the vast majority of those rehearsals. Concert and rehearsal dates are published well in advance. There is a termly membership fee (details on request) which includes the provision of music. 

If you are interested in joining the choir, please email the Choir Secretary at info@phoenixsingersshrewsbury.co.uk, stating your voice part and previous experience. You will probably be invited to attend two or three rehearsals, and then have a short informal audition with the Conductor.

Rehearsals normally take place on Thursdays at Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Crowmere Road, SY2 5JJ from 7.30pm - 9.30pm with one or two rehearsals at the concert venue.
